The 34-year-old, who stole the show when she arrived at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles for the biggest night in music, won her 13th Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.
But that was only half the story, as Travis Kelce’s girlfriend dropped the bombshell that she will be releasing a new album – The Tortured Poets Department.
“I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years,” she explained during her acceptance speeh.
“Which is that my brand new album comes out April 19th. It’s called the Tortured Poets Department. I’m going to go and post the cover now backstage. Thank you, I love you.”
Moments later she posted the album cover on Instagram, with the caption: “All’s fair in love and poetry… New album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. Out April 19”
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Screaming crying throwing up”
“OMFG AND IT’S GONNA BREAK EVERY RECORD,” added another.
A third put: “I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited for an album. This one is for the poets.”
Many of Taylor’s devoted fans had already worked out she was going to make a huge announcement.
It came after host Trevor Noah made a joke about the singer, but unlike the Golden Globes she found it hilarious.
“I think it is so unfair how NFL fans have been complaining about the cameras panning to Taylor Swift, like she’s controlling the cameras at the game. Just let her live,” Noah said.
“In fact, tonight, on Taylor’s behalf, you know what I’m going to do? I’m gonna give her a break. Every time they mention Taylor Swift, I’m gonna get revenge.
“Every time someone says Taylor Swift, I’m gonna cut the cameras to someone who played football, that’s what I’ll do. Cut!”
Taylor was seen laughing from the audience, as Noah then claimed Terry Cruise would get all the camera time.
