In a heartbreaking revelation, CCTV footage appears to have captured the final moments of popular TV doctor, Dr Michael Mosley, who was found deceased near Agia Marina beach on the Greek island of Symi. Still shrouded in mystery, his cause of death is under investigation, with his body now being transported to Rhodes for a detailed autopsy.

Confirming the tragic news, Dr Clare Bailey Mosley identified her late husband’s body, describing the loss as „devastating“. Since then, a flood of mournful tributes have streamed in from former colleagues and the legion of followers who swore by his health advice.

The deciphered footage reportedly shows an individual believed to be the TV doctor navigating a precarious rocky slope adjacent to a fence before falling from sight. Discovered later, his bag was located merely „20 feet“ from where the beloved health guru’s body lay, having been pinpointed by camera team.

Dr Clare Bailey shed light on her husband’s final hours, the 67-year-old appeared to have embarked on an „incredible climb, took the wrong route and collapsed where he couldn’t be easily seen“ by rescuers after having departed from his wife and friends at Agios Nikolaos beach on Wednesday.

Although no evidence of foul play has been discovered in the initial examination conducted by the coroner, comprehensive tests are scheduled to take place in Rhodes on the father-of-four to ascertain the exact circumstances of his untimely demise

Earlier in the week, Mosley’s four children, who joined their mother on the Greek island of Symi to assist in the search, faced the sorrowful discovery of their father’s body on Sunday morning beneath a fence near Agia Marina beach, set against a backdrop of challenging terrain.

Police were called to Agia Marina approximately 20 minutes after a body was discovered some 90 metres from the coastline, with firefighters arriving shortly after 2pm local time to transport the body away from the island by boat.

On Saturday, an emergency services helicopter conducted extensive searches over the rugged terrain of Symi between Pedi bay and Agia Marina, eventually hovering above the location where the body was subsequently found.

Ilias Tsavaris, 38, the manager of Agia Marina bar, was among the first to spot the body alongside reporters after the island’s mayor noticed „saw something“ near the bar’s fence and informed the staff.

Greek officials redirected their efforts on Saturday following the emergence of CCTV footage from a residence at the edge of a small marina in Pedi, which captured the broadcaster walking towards a mountain path around 2pm local time on Wednesday.
