‚We visited UK’s biggest boot sale with £10 and left happy‘ | UK | News

Brits are renowned for their love of a good deal, and this might explain the enduring popularity of car boot sales across the country.

These events have been a staple for years, attracting bargain hunters eager to snag treasures for pennies on the pound. TikTok sensations Nathan and Grace recently explored one of the UK’s largest car boot sales with just £10 in their pockets. Known for their viral content, the duo candidly shared their haul from the day.

They forked out £5 for entry to the Seaham-hosted sale, not counting it towards their spending limit. They also said the scene was „so busy“ upon arrival.

Kicking off their adventure, they showcased an array of bags for sale, with Grace picking up a passport holder for £2. They continued to reveal more finds, including „brand new“ heated rollers, which Grace could’ve snapped up for £10.

By this point though, she didn’t have enough money left in her budget. Nonetheless, it was a tempting offer for a typically pricey item.

Grace remarked: „It’s 10.45am in the morning, and there are literally still people setting up. This car boot sale is massive.“

Later, the pair stumbled upon football-themed Croc charms, securing one for a mere £1 – a nifty find for Croc enthusiasts. Grace also bagged a bucket hat for £5, which they considered a fantastic bargain.

Their final treasures were a set of tiki cups and a jigsaw puzzle, each costing £1. In the viral clip, Nathan revealed they snagged „a lot of things“ for a mere £10, with an array of items up for grabs including dart boards, hammocks and wine holders.

The couple highlighted that by midday, the queue to enter grew significantly as the entry fee drops to just £1 after 12pm. If you’re willing to wait a while, you can venture on an even cheaper day out.

Since going live, the video has racked up thousands of views, sparking a flurry of comments from impressed viewers. Many hailed the market as „amazing“.

One viewer exclaimed: „Stop. I paid £50 for the same nested rollers, OMG. They’re so good though.“ Another keen shopper chimed in with: „I really wanna go here. All those Croc charms.“

A third enthusiast endorsed: „Seaham Car Boot is the best.“ Echoing the sentiment, a fourth added: „Seaham is mint. I go every Sunday.“
