Prince William defended by Davina McCall after antics at Taylor Swift gig cause a stir | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Davina McCall has leapt to the defence of Prince William, praising him as a „top dad“ after he was seen letting loose at a Taylor Swift concert.

During Monday’s edition of Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston, the Big Brother icon brushed off any criticism of the future king’s dance moves, stating she didn’t „care how he’s dancing“ after the dad-of-three was spotted enjoying himself at the UK leg of The Eras Tour on June 21.

Jamie expressed his thoughts that there had been a lot of mockery directed at the prince for his „dad dancing“, and questioned why this was acceptable when „gender-based prejudice“ is not.

Davina responded: „Can I just say the fact that Prince William took his kids to Taylor Swift makes him, like, top dad – top dad. I don’t care how he’s dancing.“

Jamie agreed, saying: „And I think that us dads should not feel self-conscious.“, reports the Mirror.

Davina quickly chimed in, complimenting Jamie’s own dance moves, which she had caught a glimpse of earlier, describing them as „lovely“.

Prince William attended the Wembley Stadium concert with his children, Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, nine, to celebrate his 42nd birthday.

He was seen dancing to Swift’s hit „Shake it Off“, swinging his arms and grinning with his children, a scene that contrasted sharply with Prince Harry’s sombre expression at Beyonce’s Renaissance tour in LA.

Richard Eden, the diary editor at the Daily Mail, took to social media with a cheeky comment: „Pleased to see #PrinceWilliam enjoyed watching #TaylorSwift in London more than #PrinceHarry appeared to enjoy Beyonce in Los Angeles.“

Meanwhile, Prince William and his daughter reportedly had a heartwarming moment during the concert, according to HELLO! Magazine.

The Royal family members were also thrilled to receive a personal souvenir from Taylor Swift herself – a coveted selfie.

Adding to the Royal presence, William’s cousin Zara Tindall, her husband Mike, and their daughters Mia and Lena were also spotted enjoying the star-studded event.
